Video: Fire Contract Heads for Omaha Fire Union Vote, Perk Questioned

The Omaha Fire Union is scheduled to vote this week on a controversial tentative contract with the City of Omaha.

As Nebraska Watchdog reports there is at least one perk in the contract the Union refused to give up; a perk that Mayor Jim Suttle says he fought to take out but couldn’t.

In an on camera interview with Nebraska Watchdog about the Mayor’s political ties to the Fire Union, Joe Jordan also asked the Mayor about the pros and cons of LASIK surgery, a benefit that goes to both firefighters and their dependents.
