There’s a new name in the Democrats’ hunt for someone— anyone—to run for Republican Rep. Lee Terry’s seat.
Several sources tells Nebraska Watchdog that Attorney David Domina, who has been looking at the U.S. Senate race, is now considering the Omaha House battle as well.
Earlier this fall Domina told Nebraska Watchdog he was “inclined to run” for the Senate and indicated a desire to make a decision by mid-November. That loose deadline came and went.
Domina’s new interest in the House seat follows Democrat Pete Festersen’s unexpected decision earlier this month to drop out of the race, leaving the Democrats without a candidate as the New Year approaches.
Domina was not immediately available for comment.
Terry is being challenged in the GOP’s May primary by Dan Frei.
