Beth Purcell, national president of PublicSchoolOptions.org, had a message for students who attended the South Carolina stop on the National School Choice Week Whistle-Stop Tour:

“Kids, the most important thing that you do right now is to learn. Your most important job is to get education. It will help you realize your dreams. It will open up doors for you, and it will help you reach your full potential,” she said.

The South Carolina capital city, Columbia, was one of several stops the tour will make across the country as it celebrates National School Choice Week. Mick Zais, state superintendent, and John Alston, former NFL player, also spoke at the event.
