Connecticut‘s 9th District got a big boost from $18 million in stimulus funds that it received, according to recovery.org. The money, however, was of little use in creating jobs in a district that does not exist.
What is most startling about the state’s 8 non-existent districts is that the most explosive job growth was found in the 42nd District. 25 jobs were created there, despite receiving 0 stimulus dollars. A rather odd development.
A Watchdog study revealed 440 non-existent congressional districts within the stimulus tracking web site, recovery.org. The full report can be found here and below:
