The stimulus package has pumped $14 million into 10 Colorado congressional districts that do not exist, according to Recovery.gov.
It appears that the labels for the districts, including 00 and 64, were chosen at random. It is not clear what geographic entities, if any, the districts refer to in the state. While the districts may be fake, the money is not. District 00, for example, received over $10 million.
A Watchdog study revealed 440 non-existent congressional districts within the stimulus tracking web site, recovery.org. The full report can be found here and below:
