Louisiana‘s 8th Congressional District would be happy to see that recovery.gov is reporting more than 300 job gains through the stimulus package, if only the district hadn’t been consolidated in 1990. The data below represents District, jobs created and cost:

8th congressional district              304.8     $4,972,861

22nd congressional district           0              $2,817,776

26th congressional district            10           $352,495

00 congressional district                2              $311,283

45th congressional district            0              $226,125

14th congressional district            0              $188,519

32nd congressional district           0              $174,536

A Watchdog study revealed 440 non-existent congressional districts within the stimulus tracking web site, recovery.org. The full report can be found here and below:
