Federal stimulus dollars were used to help out-of-work congressional districts in Mississippi, according to Recovery.gov. The stimulus provided nearly $1 million to the 5th District, which was eliminated following the 2000 census. The rest of the data below, including jobs produced and cost:

A Watchdog study revealed 440 non-existent congressional districts within the stimulus tracking web site, recovery.org. The full report can be found here and below:
