MIAMI — The new storm season begins in Florida, and politicians and public officials are doing everything they can to try to conquer Mother Nature.
With the Florida Catastrophe Fund having a deficit, many are asking how the state-based property and hurricane insurance, offered through the Citizens Property Insurance Corp., will deal with future claims — and if a revision of the fund is in order.
