Why more black families are homeschooling

In just over a decade, the number of black families choosing homeschooling has doubled because they are tired of waiting for schools to get better. In addition to universal reasons, such as religious beliefs or wanting to teach their child certain values, black parents also cite among their reasons for homeschooling racial bullying and studies showing that black students are less likely to be recommended for advanced classes and more likely to be suspended.
