OKLAHOMA CITY — The controversial Federal Agriculture Reform and Risk Management Act, commonly referred to as the Farm Bill, may have passed out of a U.S. House committee, but a floor vote may come until after Election Day.
Oklahoma U.S. Rep. Frank Lucas, of District 3, is co-sponsor of the Farm Bill, which has drawn liberal opposition for savings made by tightening eligibility procedures for in food stamps and consolidating conservative programs.
In an interview Wednesday with CapitolBeatOK, Lucas discussed prospects for a floor debate and vote before the November election.
