SANTA FE — One day after an Albuquerque judge ordered that the names of rank-and-file state employees be taken off the state’s Sunshine Portal, New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez said the names will go back up on a different website.
But can the state find another portal? “Sure, and we’re going to,” Martinez told Capitol Report New Mexico on Tuesday.
District Judge Valerie Hulling on Monday ruled in favor of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees union that argued the law creating the Sunshine Portal, which includes the job titles and salaries of state employees among other items of public information, should not post the employees’ names.
