Kerrey: Obamaha campaign a ‘secretive operation’

President Obama’s campaign has a long way to go to convince Democrat Bob Kerrey it intends to pick-off one of Nebraska’s five electoral votes.

Kerrey tells Nebraska Watchdog (see video below) the Obama campaign is “not doing anything” in the Omaha area’s 2nd Congressional District which has become known to political insiders as Obamaha.

In 2008 Obama narrowly won the 2nd District and because Nebraska splits its electoral votes— one of only two states in the country able to do so—Obama grabbed one of the five ballots.

Kerrey, who is running an uphill fight for the U.S. Senate against Republican Deb Fischer, says so far the Obamaha effort is a “secretive operation.”

Kerrey also tells Nebraska Watchdog he has “no plans” to see the President when Mr. Obama is in the Omaha area—campaigning in Council Bluffs, Iowa—on Monday.

    The most telling statement of this interview is Cosmic Bob revealing he has no plans to be seen in public with Obama. That ought to tell you something about how terrified Cosmic Bob is of being seen as a Democrat and standing next to another huge liberal like himself. Keep on trying to sell the idea you aren’t a liberal Bob…no one is buying it.

    Another example of how cosmic Bob is out of touch with Nebraska, either that or he just does not want his name associated with Obama; and shame on Kerrey. I visited the Obama headquarters on Cass st here in Omaha three times and each time there were volunteers and the place was hopping. And I have gotten at least 3 or 4 calls from the Obama campaign here in Omaha.
    Stop lying cosmic Bob.
