LANSING — The Michigan Energy, Michigan Jobs renewable energy ballot proposal would create 74,495 jobs, according to the Michigan Environmental Council’s news release.
However, the council erroneously cited how a Michigan State University report calculated the number of jobs. The report referred to “job years.” For example, a person who worked for a green company for 25 years would create 25 “job years,” but just one job.
