As Nebraska Watchdog first reported an August poll—the latest available—found Mitt Romney leading President Obama by four points in the battle for one of Nebraska’s five electoral votes.

In the 2nd Congressional District— Omaha and some surburbs—Romney led 47-43.

Has anything changed?

KMTV asked Nebraska Watchdog (see video below) to analyze the state of the “Obamaha” vote, the electoral vote Mr. Obama won in 2008.

I hope the voters here have gotten smarter.

I agree. We’ve already seen how the country went into the toilet the last time there was a republican president. In case anyone forgot, his name was George W. Bush. There was no reference to him or his adminstration at the convention last week so I wanted to make sure no one forgot about the job they did.

  • Up In Omaha

It looks like the Romney office is really busy and the Obama/Ewing office has nobody in it. I see that Lee Terry had been up on the air for the past 3 weeks. Where is John Ewing? Is he even running for office? I heard he has no money.

The only reason Bush was so bad was because the Democrats controlled both Houses in the last two years of his term, plus they had both Houses and the Presidency for the first two years of Obama’s term.
Now the problem is, how do we get rid of the excess spending of those four years? We have to get the spenders out of office. That means the Senate and the White House must be flushed.
Not only that, but we have a President who thinks there is no such thing as “too much power” and rules by fiat. The last thing we need is a Mussolini wanna-be.

  • ps

    short but firm, i agree

  • D. Mark

We need Romney, Fischer and Terry in Washington! The last four years have been painful for America and the workers who have not had jobs!

  • Joan

Who needs Romney and his lying VP pick? Romney says, “Trust me!” as he tells lie after lie along with his bud Paul. Did you know Ryan signed off on every spending bill George W Bush purposed? Did you know that the nuns of the Catholic Church oppose the proposed Medicare Medicaid Plan of the GOP because it will hurt the weakest in our society and end the greatest social program of the middle class Social Security. And lastly just exactly what has the GOP done in the last four years except go after womens rights, get between she and her doctor, the middle of her family planning, vow to take away Planned Parenthood which we poor and middle class women need. Then the ultimate insult…demand an ultrasound of our, OUR, vagina without a doctors order or our permission. Oh and least we forget, Rowe V Wade allows me to live should my baby die in my womb and my doctor needs to remove it. Hell has no furry like a woman…..Obama hears our cry! Suppress our vote, another dishonest tactict of a bunch of dishonest, disgraceful people.

But D. Mark, why is American in pain? Republican policy and a Supreme Court decision that threw the election to Geo W Bush! Why do workers not have jobs? Bush economics and the politics of greed by bankers and Wall Street!

Yet when the President tries to get work done, all we hear is HATE!

Four more years of Lee Terry makes me want to ‘frow-up!

    Joe
The comments here make me want to vomit. Hate and fear mongering, are Republican principles, certainly not hope and prosperity for the average American. Clinton hit it last night. The correct politics are in the middle, where things always get done. As he pointed out, the left and right end of the political spectrum cannot be allowed to control our countrys destiny.
It is sad to read commentary from people filled with so much hatred.

Elizabeth Warren, aka “Pocahontas”, revealed the true economic policy of the Democrats with her “corporations are not people” rant at the DNC. The delegates were foaming at the mouth over “let’s confiscate all corporate profits to fund more welfare handouts” ideas. These people are not “liberals”, they are classic Marxists as is their leader President Obama. He recognizes no limitations on executive branch power from the Constitution and will have no problems ruling by executive order if reelected. If Obama wins, look for another recession to begin in early 2013 from which there will be no recovery until at least 2016.

    Democrats don’t know the facts…demo’s
deregulated the finance industry during Clintons presidency, Obama started the
housing bubble in Illinois with his lawsuit against the banks forcing them to
loan money to those they knowingly could not repay, Barney Frank and others
pushed and pressed too for more loosened bank purse strings, The melt down
    started there,

    Bush’s last 4 years democrats
controlled the house and senate, check out what damage was done then,,,,

and best part is if Republicans are
to blame for the financial mess, why hasn’t 1, not one financial exec been
brought up on charges during this administration, check out what Geithner did
before he got the job he now has, and Bernake too , these guys were part of the
problem… I’m sick of demo’s spouting their mouth off without knowing the
    facts.

I’m assuming you’re an Obama supporter because of your comment. If that is the case, you should look into a story that is floating around out there about how Clinton shafted Obama in his speech at the DNC. Reportedly, Obama was none too happy with it. (Of course, you’ll have to seek alternate sources for this info – there’s zero coverage of this from the Obama butt-covering mainstream media.)

When asked about Obama’s handshake at the end of Bill’s speech, Bill said, “He wanted to break my hand.” On stage it was all smiles, hugs, and waves. Backstage, Obama stormed out like the whiny, thin-skinned baby that he is and left Bill to deal with everyone that remained backstage. Which Bill was happy to do.

Why liberals think Clinton did Obama any favors with that speech is beyond me.

I agree also…. I think History will paint a much different picture of George W. Bush… and I can only imagine what they will say of Obama….If 9/11 happened today, I would much rather have GWBush at the helm of our country than Obama….
