Deb Fischer and Bob Kerrey

Joe Jordan | Nebraska Watchdog

You’ve heard both Republican Deb Fischer and Democrat Bob Kerrey say it.

They can work with the other side in the Senate to get things done.

With Election Day now less than two months away, Nebraska Watchdog’s Joe Jordan checks the facts.

Give me a break; there is no question who would be better working accross the aisle…which must be done. Kerrey is well known as an independent, uncontrollable Senator that is not well liked by Reid and leadership; he is the Democratic Jonm McCain who is the outcast of the Republican leadership in Senate. Watchdog, take a minute and call jOE LIEBERMAN OR jOHN mCcAIN.

The premise of this video is just a bit insincere. How is Deb Fischer supposed to answer a question about working with people she hasn’t even met yet?

    Fail.

As for who Bob Kerrey will work with, who cares? He’s not going to be in the Senate anyway. :)

The fact Kerrey voted with Democrats 80-some percent of the time is meaningless when you realize within those 80-some percent were support of Republican bills with bipartisan support. In other words, he voted with Republicans more often than that stat indicates. I hope he wins – I remember often hearing reporters on Capitol Hill saying there were two “mavericks” in the Senate – McCain and Kerrey. Reporters liked going to Kerrey because he wasn’t one to recite the party line, but instead would give his own unique take on any given issue and was known not to be afraid to step outside the party line. I think people forget just how well respected he was as a senator.

Mrs. Fisher will do what the Republican Party tells her to
do. When was the last time she had an original thought. Look at her record in
the Legislature. When the battle breaks out I would rather have Kerry on the
side of the people of Nebraska. Look at his record in battle!

the first thing fischer did was take the norquist pledge not to raise taxes for the rich….she is going to be another rich repub in the history of Nebraska that is a do nothing Congressperson or Senator…she already gets a large land deal for the lease…she’s a republican first and a nebraska rep…somewhere down the line and is not a independent and will vote how’s she’s told….can’t we get someone who is a republican or democrat or anybody who thinks for themselves?? where are the term limits we need …

  • Dan

Country, just to prove how stupid you are, it was harry reid who CONVINCED COSMIC BOB TO RUN!!!! Along with the whos who of loony liberals, schumer, feinstein, boxer, nelson, etc. And jason, term limits?? Cosmic bob has already served two terms, thats 12 years in case you’re too dense as Nebraskas senator, so the rules must not apply to him huh?? Clearly you are all on bobs campaign team to monitor the internet, or just stupid, probably both.

  • Dan

And I’ll type it again, BEN NELSON ALSO SIGNED THE NORQUIST PLEDGE!!!! Check and mate.

  • Dan

And shellymic, to your point I’ll explain, because joe jordan and deena here ARE LIBERAL BOB KERREY BUTT KISSERS. Understand?

  • Al the golfer

Why is Kerry so angry in any question directed at him? He is exactly like Obama, ….”don’t question me, how dare you question me!!” Oh well, come November, he’ll move back to New York and good riddance!

  • Dave

In responce to Joe the Gofer, do not mistake anger with passion.
“Diamond” Deb is using the responces given to her by the tea “party”, same as Romney and the others. They wont let facts get in the way of a good lie, ans they wont tell us what they’re really going to do, because if we knew, even Nebraska would no longer be Republican!

  • kay

We must remember that good ole Kerry threw us under the bus when he decided Nebraska wasn’t good enough for him. We need new blood, not
    a Washington insider like Kerry.
