Omaha—It appears the Romney campaign wants a clean sweep of Nebraska’s five electoral votes.
The Nebraska GOP announced this afternoon that Mitt Romney’s wife Ann will be making a campaign stop in LaVista September 21.
Mrs. Romney will be hand for a $250 per person lunch; a photo with her will cost $2,500.
Four years ago the Obama campaign won the 2nd Congressional District—Omaha and some of its suburbs—picking up one electoral vote; it was the first time a Democrat grabbed any electoral votes here since 1964.
As Nebraska Watchdog first reported a poll in August found Romney leading President Obama in the 2nd District by a 47-43 margin.
So far President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama have no campaign appearances scheduled in Nebraska.
Mrs. Obama did make a campaign stop in Omaha earlier this summer.
