NASHVILLE — The Warren County Memorial Airport in McMinnville is missing more than $20,000 in taxpayer money, and a Tennessee comptroller’s report on the matter suggests its former airport manager is at fault.

John Patterson, the former manager of the Warren County Airport, is now the airport director for the Clarksville-Montgomery Regional Airport.

When he managed the Warren County Airport, Patterson reviewed all financial collections and carried those deposits to the Warren County’s Trustee’s Office.

Patterson was not available for an interview with Tennessee Watchdog.

Patterson began as manager in 2006. Auditors focused on financial records from 2007 to 2011, when he resigned to take the job in Clarksville.

The comptroller’s report said the matter had been turned over to Warren County District Attorney Lisa Zavagiannis for review. Zavagiannis was unavailable for comment.
