CARSON CITY — Health care and mischaracterizations punctuated debates for two congressional districts.
Incumbent U.S. Rep. Joe Heck, R-District 3, pushed to replace the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act with a better measure that would make health insurance affordable for everyone.
Assembly Majority Leader John Oceguera, D-Las Vegas, applauded the ACA’s inclusion of people with preexisting conditions and elimination of caps on medical costs.
Meanwhile, Republican candidate Danny Tarkanian for the 4th Congressional District and state Senate Majority Leader Steven Horsford, D-Las Vegas, went back and forth, countering claims made by their opponent.
