A new TV ad has the candidates running for U.S. Senate in Nebraska throwing around some big claims. Joe Jordan explains.
Here is more on the Kerrey ad.

When I first heard/saw this story, I couldn’t believe that a state senator wouldn’t recuse themselves from voting on this legislation when it directly affected them. THEN I learned that the legislation was actually offered by her, to benefit her!
Since there is apparently no law against this type of sleezy activity, the only way to communicate to her that these are not Nebraska values is to not vote for her.
I will not vote for her!
Dave since you’re a pinhead Democrat to start with, you were never going to vote for anybody but Cosmic Bob. Cosmic Bob has had and still has more sleazy financial dealings than almost anyone except Ben Nelson and the poster girl for typical Dem elected official behavior, Brenda Council.
The accepted definition of demagoguery is “a leader who makes use of popular prejudices false claims and promises in order to gain power.” Look it up in any dictionary. Right next to it you will find a picture of Bob Kerrey.
Spoiled steak, Please give me some examples of Cosmic Bob’s “sleezy financial dealings”.
Fischer makes $15-$50K per year selling fishing and hunting rights to her land. Her next door neighbor’s land was to be sold to a Sportsmen’s Club, and the Nebraska Game and Parks. Having that land become public would have affected her bottom line. She introduced a bill to suck money from the fund that G&P were going to use. She should not have been allowed to even vote on the purchase, let alone write a bill to kill the deal. I am shocked that her unicameral colleagues allowed this. Did no one realize she was directly impacting the sale of her neighbor’s land?
What prejudices is he playing on? Which claims are false?
I think it’s a failure of her unicameral colleagues and the people who signed on to her plan. They should have educated themselves first, and should have realized it was a clear cut conflict of interest and asked Deb to recuse herself.
I didn’t think you would have any.
