Following a hectic week of debates, endorsements, and in your face politics the fight for Omaha’s 2nd Congressional district between Republican Congressman Lee Terry and Democrat John Ewing is heading toward the finish line.

Who’s leading?

KMTV asked Nebraska Watchdog to look inside a recent poll from Team Ewing.

I don’t think any polls are reliable.

lack of cell phone? don’t all polls “not” call cell phones? why is this poll any different then? the poll ewing is using maybe bogus, but not because of the lack of cell phones.

Polls are nothing more than a political advertising tool to Spin. Although polling can be very an accurate tool, most are done to sway voters as Ewings seems to be trying to do. Of course the companies that invented or discovered this method don’t really care about truth but mostly care about just how much $$$$ they can con out of a candidate, to tell him what he wants to hear. The way the poll questions are worded to con the persons who might submit to being questioned & just basic demographic info will dictate the outcome. Say for example you want a poll that favors Terry, just call White Bread in West Omaho. If you want one that favors Ewing, call N O or S O. Bottom line mostly Total Bull Shit!

Poling companies are crooked. Pay no attention to them, they skew the poll to favor one or the other. They should be outlawed as BS. I don’t believe them when they favor my candidate or the other person. But look at the $100′s of millions of $$$ are spent on them.

  • r u conservatives?

Outlaw polls? Strict Constitutionalists against freedom of speech? Against commerce? “Outlaw” private, for profit, polling businesses that are job creators? “Outlaw” ‘makers’ informing ‘takers’? Accuse for-profit polling businesses of not being “reliable”? Unregulated polling is a “crooked” business? For profit, free enterprise, polling companies “don’t care about truth?” Some free enterprise polling companies would “con” people and “con candidates”? Free market polling is “BS”? Against media giants Walt Disney, Comcast, Time-Warner, News Corp, Viacom, Clear Channel, etc making huge profits off polls done for them? Omaha Gallup Corporation included? Against hundreds of millions spent to become lawmakers in a poor economy on polling “advertising”? What inspired Joe Ricketts to last minute advertise — a polite request or, a poll?

Blah, blah, blah. what will they all do, when the polls prove to be wrong? Proof that some are definitely biased/skewed, is that numbers are so far apart from one another. Not much trust in the polls, unless there’s an obvious trend/similarity of the numbers, and only then if the pollster has been polling for many years & has need to maintain integrity & reputation. IMO all MSM polls should be ignored.
